True understanding (loka-tattva) dispels doubt; those who are clear-minded and knowledgeable are uniquely qualified to guide the long-ignorant, and humility is the proper stance of the seeker.
Bhishma addresses a revered interlocutor, acknowledging his own side’s long-standing ignorance and requesting that the wise person remove their uncertainty by explaining the truth of reality and right understanding.
