Parāśara’s Counsel on बुद्धि (Discernment), Karma-Consequences, and Avoidance of Pāpānubandha Actions
रथस्थस्य हि शक्रस्य युद्धकाले महात्मन: । ऋषिभ: स्तूयमानस्य रूपमासीत् सुदुर्दूशम्
rathasthasya hi śakrasya yuddhakāle mahātmanaḥ | ṛṣibhiḥ stūyamānasya rūpam āsīt sudurdṛśam ||
Pada saat perang, Śakra (Indra) yang agung, berdiri di atas keretanya dan dipuji oleh para resi, tampak dalam wujud yang begitu cemerlang dan menggetarkan sehingga memandang ke arahnya pun terasa amat sukar.
भीष्म उवाच
The verse highlights the overwhelming nature of divine splendor in a dharmic context: when a righteous cosmic power is affirmed by the praise of seers, its presence becomes morally and spiritually awe-inducing—so intense that ordinary perception cannot easily endure it.
Bhishma describes Indra during battle: seated on his chariot, being hymned by rishis, Indra appears so brilliantly radiant that looking at him is extremely difficult.
