Parāśara’s Counsel on बुद्धि (Discernment), Karma-Consequences, and Avoidance of Pāpānubandha Actions
ततो भगवतस्तेजो ज्वरो भूत्वा जगत्पते:
tato bhagavatas tejo jvaro bhūtvā jagatpateḥ
Kemudian, dari sinar daya Tuhan, terwujudlah demam yang membakar—lahir dari Sang Penguasa semesta; pertanda bahwa tenaga ilahi, bila digugah atau diarahkan, dapat menjelma menjadi daya dahsyat yang tak mampu dibendung oleh kekuatan duniawi mana pun.
भीष्म उवाच
Divine tejas is not merely abstract brilliance; it can become an active, corrective force. The verse underscores moral causality: when cosmic order is challenged, the Lord’s power may manifest in a form (here, jvara) that enforces restraint and restores balance.
Bhīṣma describes a moment when the Lord’s radiance concretizes into a being/force called Jvara—an intense, burning affliction—emerging from the Jagatpati. It marks a dramatic escalation where divine energy intervenes tangibly in events.
