परिव्राजक-आचारः (Conduct of the Wandering Renunciant) — Mahābhārata, Śānti-parva 269
सर्व विदुर्वेदविदो वेदे सर्व प्रतिष्ठितम् । वेदे हि निष्ठा सर्वस्य यद् यदस्ति च नास्ति च,वेदज्ञ पुरुष सभी विषयोंको जानते हैं; क्योंकि वेदमें सब कुछ प्रतिष्ठित है। जो-जो वस्तु है और जो नहीं है, उन सबकी स्थिति वेदमें बतायी गयी है
sarva vidur vedavido vede sarva pratiṣṭhitam | vede hi niṣṭhā sarvasya yad yad asti ca nāsti ca ||
Kapila berkata: Mereka yang sungguh mengenal Weda, mengetahui segala sesuatu; sebab di dalam Weda segala hal berlandaskan dan ditegakkan. Apa yang ada dan apa yang tiada—kedudukannya dijelaskan dalam Weda.
कपिल उवाच
Kapila asserts the Veda as the comprehensive foundation of knowledge: the Veda is presented as the settled authority that accounts for both what exists and what does not, grounding inquiry into dharma and reality.
