Educational Q&A

One who seeks the supreme goal should cultivate clear discernment and renounce attachment to both ‘good’ and ‘bad’ outcomes—merit and demerit—by resting in self-control and aiming at liberation beyond dualities.

In the Shanti Parva’s instruction on liberation, Kapila addresses seekers (yatayaḥ), describing the inner discipline by which they reflect, perceive rightly, and abandon the binding opposites of auspicious and inauspicious karma while aspiring to the highest state.
