नारद–असित (देवल) संवादः — भूतप्रभवाप्यय, इन्द्रिय-गुण-विवेक, क्षेत्रज्ञ-तत्त्व
स बुद्धिमुत्तमां प्राप्तो नैप्चेकीमकुतो भयाम् । सतीमशिशथिलां सत्यां वेदा३ इत्यब्रवीत् सकृत्,तब उत्तम, निर्भय, सुस्थिर, सत्य, सद्धावयुक्त एवं उत्साहयुक्त बुद्धिको प्राप्त हुए महर्षि कपिलने केवल एक बार इतना ही कहा--हा वेद! (जो तुम्हारे नामपर लोग ऐसा अनाचार करते हैं)
sa buddhim uttamāṁ prāpto naipcekīm akuto-bhayām | satīm aśithilāṁ satyāṁ vedā iti abravīt sakṛt ||
Setelah meraih kecerdasan tertinggi—mantap, tak tergoyahkan, dan tanpa rasa takut dari mana pun—reṣi Kapila hanya sekali berseru, “Aduhai, Veda!” seraya meratapi penyimpangan yang dilakukan orang atas nama Weda.
