नारद–असित (देवल) संवादः — भूतप्रभवाप्यय, इन्द्रिय-गुण-विवेक, क्षेत्रज्ञ-तत्त्व
यज्ञशास्त्रमें क्रमश: वर्णित ये सम्पूर्ण यज्ञांग विधि-पूर्वक यज्ञमें प्रयुक्त हो एक दूसरेको धारण करते हैं ।।
āmnāyam ārṣaṁ paśyāmi yasmin vedāḥ pratiṣṭhitāḥ | taṁ vidvāṁso 'nupaśyanti brāhmaṇasyānudarśanāt ||
Kapila berkata: “Aku memandang āmnāya kuno yang disusun para resi, tempat Weda-Weda berlandaskan teguh. Karena ia diteguhkan oleh bagian-bagian Brāhmaṇa yang berwibawa dan menuntun pelaksanaan karma-ritual, para terpelajar mengakui ajaran para resi itu sebagai tolok ukur yang sah.”
कपिल उवाच
Kapila affirms a hierarchy of scriptural authority: the seer-transmitted tradition (āmnāya) is trustworthy because the Vedas are grounded in it and because it is corroborated by the Brāhmaṇa portions that prescribe and explain ritual action; thus the learned accept it as pramāṇa (a valid standard).
In the didactic setting of Śānti Parva, Kapila is explaining how wise people determine what counts as authoritative dharma/ritual teaching, pointing to the continuity between Veda, Brāhmaṇa guidance, and the received seerly tradition.
