Gṛhastha-vṛtti and Niyama: Models of Householder Livelihood and Discipline (गृहस्थवृत्ति-नियमाः)
स्वधर्मेण क्रिया लोके कुर्वाण: सत्यसंगर: । तिषछ्ठते तेषु गृहवान् षट्सु कर्मसु स द्विज:,जगत्में अपने धर्मके अनुकूल कर्म करे, सत्यप्रतिज्ञ बने। गृहस्थ ब्राह्मणको पूर्वोक्त छः कर्मोमें ही स्थित रहना चाहिये
vyāsa uvāca | svadharmeṇa kriyā loke kurvāṇaḥ satyasaṅgaraḥ | tiṣṭhate teṣu gṛhavān ṣaṭsu karmasu sa dvijaḥ ||
Vyāsa berkata: Dengan berbuat di dunia sesuai svadharma dan teguh terikat pada ikrar kebenaran, dwija yang berumah tangga hendaknya tetap berpegang hanya pada enam kewajiban yang telah ditetapkan itu.
