Yoga-kṛtya (योककृत्य) — Vyāsa on Sense-Restraint, Obstacles, and Brahman-Realization
ऋषयस्तपसा वेदानध्यैषन्त दिवानिशम् । अनादिनिधना विद्या वागुत्सृष्टा स्वयम्भुवा,तपके ही प्रभावसे महर्षिगण दिन-रात वेदोंका अध्ययन करते थे। तपःशक्तिसे सम्पन्न होकर ही ब्रह्माजीने आदि-अन्तसे रहित वेदमयी वाणीका प्रथम उच्चारण किया
ṛṣayas tapasā vedān adhyaiṣanta divāniśam | anādinidhanā vidyā vāg utsṛṣṭā svayambhuvā |
Para resi, berkat daya tapa, mempelajari Weda siang dan malam. Pengetahuan Weda yang tanpa awal dan tanpa akhir itu pertama kali diucapkan sebagai sabda suci oleh Sang Svayambhū (Brahmā).
व्यास उवाच
Vedic knowledge is portrayed as eternal and accessed through disciplined tapas and continuous study; sacred speech is ultimately grounded in a cosmic source (Svayambhū/Brahmā), not merely human authorship.
Vyāsa describes how the ancient sages devoted themselves to day-and-night Vedic study through austerity, and he links the origin of Vedic speech to the Self-born Brahmā, framing the Vedas as timeless revelation.
