योग–सांख्यसमन्वयः, रथोपमा, व्यक्त–अव्यक्तविवेकः

प्रयत्नेनापि चारक्षच्चित्तं पुत्रस्य वै पिता

prayatnenāpi cārakṣac cittaṃ putrasya vai pitā

Śakra berkata: Sekeras apa pun usaha dilakukan, sang ayah tak mampu menjaga atau meneguhkan batin putranya—sebab bila tekad dari dalam dan pengendalian diri tiada, kasih dan penjagaan orang tua pun ada batasnya.
