समरेषु च विक्रान्तं पर्याप्त॑ तन्निदर्शनम्‌ । पहले मैं जो पुरुषार्थ प्रकट कर चुका हूँ

Transliteration

samareṣu ca vikrāntaṃ paryāptaṃ tan-nidarśanam |

Translation

Bhishma berkata, “Tentang kegagahanku di medan perang, satu contoh saja sudah cukup sebagai bukti. Upaya dan keteguhan yang telah kutunjukkan dahulu, engkaulah yang paling mengetahuinya. Berkali-kali, dalam banyak peperangan, engkau telah menyaksikan keberanianku; maka pada saat ini satu ilustrasi saja memadai.”
