क्षमस्व नचिरादिन्द्र त्वामप्युपगमिष्यति । इन्द्र! मैं सदा सावधान रहता था
kṣamasva nacirād indra tvām apy upagamiṣyati |
Bhīṣma berkata: “Ampunilah aku, wahai Indra; tak lama lagi Kāla (Waktu) akan mendatangimu juga. Walau aku senantiasa waspada, jika Waktu yang tak mengenal lengah dapat menimpaku, maka segera ia akan menimpamu pula. Maafkan aku karena mengucapkan kebenaran yang pahit ini.”
