Time-Reckoning, Yuga-Dharma, and the Sequence of Creation
दौष्कुलेयस्तथा मूढो दुर्जातः शक्र दृश्यते । सुखं जीवन सहामात्यो भवितव्यं हि तत् तथा
dauṣkuleyastathā mūḍho durjātaḥ śakra dṛśyate | sukhaṃ jīvan sahāmātyo bhavitavyaṃ hi tat tathā ||
Śakra berkata: Bahkan seseorang yang lahir dari keturunan rendah—bodoh dan buruk asal-usulnya—dapat terlihat hidup bahagia bersama para menterinya; itu pun harus dipahami sebagai takdir yang berjalan demikian.
श॒क्र उवाच
The verse highlights the apparent mismatch between moral/social worth and worldly prosperity, pointing to bhavitavya (destiny/inevitability) as a factor: even an unworthy person may flourish, so outcomes cannot be judged solely by birth or visible conduct.
Śakra (Indra) remarks on an observed worldly phenomenon: a base-born, foolish person can still be seen living comfortably with a circle of advisers, and he frames this as something to be understood under the rubric of destiny.
