Adhyāya 2: Nārada’s Disclosure—Karṇa’s Training and the Brahmin’s Curse (Śānti-parva)
ब्र्मास्त्रं वेत्तुमिच्छामि सरहस्यनिवर्तनम् । अर्जुनेन समं चाहं युध्येयमिति मे मति:
brahmāstraṁ vettum icchāmi sa-rahasya-nivartanam | arjunena samaṁ cāhaṁ yudhyeyam iti me matiḥ |
Nārada berkata: “Wahai Gurudeva, aku ingin mempelajari Brahmāstra beserta rahasia pelepasan dan penarikannya kembali. Tekadku ialah mampu bertempur setara dengan Arjuna. Kasihmu sama kepada para murid dan putramu; maka anugerahkanlah ajaran ini kepadaku, agar para bijak tidak berkata bahwa aku bukan pengenal segala senjata.”
