Ajagara-vrata (The ‘Python’ Discipline): Prahrāda Questions a Wandering Sage
तासु ते पूजिता राज्ञा निषण्णा द्विजसत्तमा: । तिलदर्भोदकेनाथ अर्चिता विधिवद् द्विजा:
tāsu te pūjitā rājñā niṣaṇṇā dvijasattamāḥ | tiladarbhodakenātha arcitā vidhivad dvijāḥ ||
Ketika para brahmana utama itu—yang telah dimuliakan oleh raja—duduk di atas tempat duduk tersebut, Virūpākṣa mengambil wijen, rumput kuśa, dan air, lalu memuja para brahmana itu menurut tata upacara yang semestinya.
भीष्म उवाच
That upholding dharma includes honoring learned Brahmins and performing prescribed rites correctly; respectful hospitality and ritual propriety are presented as supports of righteous kingship and social-spiritual order.
After the king honors the Brahmins and they sit on the prepared seats, Virūpākṣa performs their formal worship using ritual items—sesame, kuśa-grass, and water—following proper procedure.
