कुलाज्ज्ञानात्‌ तथैश्वर्यान्मदो भवति देहिनाम्‌ | एभिरेव तु विज्ञातै: स च सद्यः प्रणश्यति,अपने उत्तम कुल, उत्कृष्ट ज्ञान तथा ऐश्वर्यका अभिमान होनेसे देहाभिमानी मनुष्योंपर मद सवार हो जाता है; परंतु इनके यथार्थ स्वरूपका ज्ञान हो जानेपर वह मद तत्काल उतर जाता है

Dari kebanggaan atas keluhuran keluarga, keunggulan pengetahuan, dan kemegahan kekuasaan, timbullah mada—kesombongan yang memabukkan—pada insan berjasad. Namun ketika hakikat sejati dari semua itu dipahami, kesombongan itu seketika lenyap.
