आत्मानं दर्शयामास धर्म धर्मभृतां वर: । इस प्रकार उनके पुत्रको वहाँ बुलाकर तथा राजाको उलाहना देकर धर्मात्माओंमें श्रेष्ठ तनु मुनिने उन्हें अपने साक्षात् धर्मस्वरूपका दर्शन कराया
ātmānaṃ darśayāmāsa dharma dharmabhṛtāṃ varaḥ |
Maka Dharma—yang utama di antara para penegak kebenaran—menyingkapkan wujudnya yang sejati. Demikianlah, setelah memanggil para putra ke sana dan menegur sang raja, resi Tanu, yang terbaik di antara orang-orang saleh, membuat mereka menyaksikan Dharma secara langsung.
कृश उवाच
Dharma is not merely a rule but a living moral reality: when ethical confusion or wrongdoing persists, the narrative frames dharma as something that can be made evident—through admonition, testing, and ultimately direct revelation—so that right conduct becomes undeniable.
Dharma (as a person) manifests his true identity. The surrounding action, as indicated by the prose gloss, is that the sons are called to the spot, the king is reproached for his conduct, and the sage Tanu enables them to witness Dharma directly, resolving the situation through moral clarification.
