bhīṣma uvāca | purāhaṃ rājaśārdūla tīrthāny anucaran prabho | samāsāditavān divyaṃ nara-nārāyaṇāśramam, nṛpaśreṣṭha |
Bhishma berkata: Wahai harimau di antara para raja, wahai junjungan—dahulu, ketika aku mengembara dari satu tīrtha ke tīrtha lainnya, aku sampai di pertapaan Nara dan Narayana yang bercahaya.
भीष्म उवाच
The verse frames instruction through a dharmic model: a revered elder (Bhīṣma) grounds ethical discourse in pilgrimage and contact with sanctified sages.
