कथं तत्‌ प्राप्पते शीलं श्रोतुमिच्छामि भारत । किंलक्षणं च तत्‌ प्रोक्तं ब्रूहि मे वदतां वर,भारत! वह शील कैसे प्राप्त होता है? यह सुननेकी मेरी बड़ी इच्छा है। वक्ताओंमें श्रेष्ठ पितामह! उसका क्या लक्षण बताया गया है? यह मुझसे कहिये

kathaṁ tat prāpyate śīlaṁ śrotum icchāmi bhārata | kiṁlakṣaṇaṁ ca tat proktaṁ brūhi me vadatāṁ vara bhārata ||
