Nakula’s Counsel on Yajña, Dāna, and Tyāga (नकुलोपदेशः—यज्ञदानत्यागविचारः)

एतस्मिन्‌ वर्तमानस्य विधावप्रतिषेधिते । त्यागिन: प्रसृतस्येह नोच्छित्तिविद्यते क्वचित्‌,यहाँ रहकर वेदविहित विधिका पालन करनेवाले निष्ठावान्‌ त्यागीका कभी विनाश नहीं होता--वह पारलौकिक उन्नतिसे कभी वज्चित नहीं रहता

etasmin vartamānasya vidhāv apratiṣedhite | tyāginaḥ prasṛtasyeha nocchittir vidyate kvacit ||

Bagi orang yang hidup di dunia ini dengan menaati tata laku yang disahkan Weda—tanpa melanggar yang terlarang—bagi sang pelepas yang teguh dalam pengorbanan diri, tidak ada kebinasaan di mana pun. Ia tidak pernah terputus dari kemajuan luhur di alam seberang.
