एवंविध॑ सान्त्वमुक्त्वा धर्मकामार्थहेतुमत् । प्रसादयित्वा राजानं गोमायुर्वनमभ्यगात्,इस प्रकार धर्म, अर्थ, काम और मुक्तियोंसे युक्त सान्त्वनापूर्ण वचन कहकर सियारने बाघराजाको प्रसन्न कर लिया और उसकी अनुमति लेकर वह वनमें चला गया
evaṃvidhaṃ sāntvam uktvā dharma-kāmārtha-hetumat | prasādayitvā rājānaṃ gomāyur vanam abhyagāt ||
Demikianlah, setelah mengucapkan kata-kata penghiburan yang selaras dengan tujuan dharma, artha, dan kāma, Gomāyu (serigala hutan/jakal) menenangkan sang raja harimau. Dengan izinnya, ia pun berangkat menuju rimba.
