ततो<ब्रवीन्महात्मानं जैगीषव्यं स देवल: । विनयावनतो राजन्नुपसर्प्प महामुनिम्,राजन! इसके बाद महामुनि महात्मा जैगीषव्यके पास जाकर देवलने विनीतभावसे कहा--
tato 'bravīn mahātmānaṃ jaigīṣavyaṃ sa devalaḥ | vinayāvanato rājann upasarpya mahāmunim ||
Wahai Raja! Setelah itu Devala, dengan penuh hormat dan kerendahan hati, mendekati mahāmuni Jaigīṣavya yang berhati luhur, lalu berkata kepadanya.
