अन्तरिक्षचर: श्रीमान् कलशं गृहा[ देवल: । यही सोचते हुए श्रीमान् देवलमुनि कलश हाथमें लेकर आकाशमार्गसे समुद्रतटकी ओर चल दिये
antarikṣacaraḥ śrīmān kalaśaṃ gṛhā devalaḥ | iti cintayan śrīmān devalamuniḥ kalaśaṃ hastena gṛhītvā ākāśamārgeṇa samudrataṭaṃ prati jagāma |
Waiśampāyana berkata: Sang resi Devala yang termasyhur, pengelana angkasa, mengambil sebuah kendi air. Dengan tekad yang telah dipikirkan masak, ia menggenggam kendi itu dan menempuh jalan udara menuju tepi samudra.
