सात्वतौ च महावीर्यो धन्विनौ रथिनां वरौ । अन्योन्यमभ्यधावेतां शस्त्रप्रवरधारिणी

Transliteration

sātvatāu ca mahāvīryo dhanvinau rathināṁ varau | anyonyam abhyadhāvetāṁ śastrapravaradhāriṇī ||

Translation

Sanjaya berkata: Kedua pahlawan Sātvata itu—perkasa, pemanah ulung, terdepan di antara para kesatria kereta, dan memanggul senjata terbaik—saling menerjang. Beginilah dharma medan laga yang kelam: keberanian dan kepiawaian tampil dalam benturan langsung, meski bayang-bayang kebinasaan senantiasa mengintai di ujungnya.
