अध्याय ९ — दुर्योधनस्य अन्त्यावस्था, विलापः, तथा सौप्तिक-प्रतिवृत्तम्
Duryodhana’s Final Condition, Lamentation, and the Night’s Report
एवं ते निधन यात: पुत्रो दुर्योधनो नूप । अग्रे यात्वा रणे शूर: पश्चाद् विनिहतः परै:
evaṁ te nidhanaṁ yātaḥ putro duryodhano nṛpa | agre yātvā raṇe śūraḥ paścād vinihataḥ paraiḥ ||
Sañjaya berkata: “Wahai Raja, demikianlah putramu Duryodhana menemui ajalnya. Sebagai pahlawan di medan laga, ia maju paling dahulu ke kancah perang, namun pada akhirnya ia menjadi yang terakhir ditumbangkan oleh musuh-musuhnya.”
