Shloka 17

न मे कश्चिद्‌ विजानीयान्मुखमद्येति भारत । मुखमालिप्य तेनासौ सहदेवो5पि गच्छति,भारत! “आज इस दुर्दिनमें कोई मेरे मुँहको पहचान न ले” यही सोचकर सहदेव अपने मुँहमें मिट्टी पोतकर जा रहे हैं

na me kaścid vijānīyān mukham adyeti bhārata | mukham ālipya tenāsau sahadevo 'pi gacchati, bhārata ||

Vidura berkata: “Wahai Bhārata, ‘jangan sampai ada yang mengenali wajahku hari ini.’” Dengan pikiran itu Sahadeva pun pergi setelah mengolesi wajahnya dengan tanah, agar pada hari yang jahat ini ia tetap tak dikenali dan selamat.
