बाहू विशालौ कृत्वासौ तेन भीमो5पि गच्छति । बाहू विदर्शयन् राजन् बाहुद्रविणदर्पित:
bāhū viśālau kṛtvāsau tena bhīmo 'pi gacchati | bāhū vidarśayan rājan bāhu-draviṇa-darpitaḥ ||
Vidura berkata: “Wahai Raja, ia berjalan dengan kedua lengannya dibuat lebar dan menggetarkan; demikian pula Bhīma melangkah, memamerkan lengannya, mabuk oleh keangkuhan yang lahir dari kekuatan dan kekayaan.”
विदुर उवाच
Vidura warns that pride rooted in physical power and material wealth leads to moral blindness and reckless conduct; true royal discernment requires humility and restraint rather than public displays of might.
Vidura describes a scene of swaggering display—arms made to look imposing and shown off—where Bhīma too is drawn into the same posture, and he points out to the king that such behavior is driven by arrogance born of strength and riches.
