ऑपन--माज बछ। जि एकोनाशीतितमो< ध्याय: द्रौोपदीका कुन्तीसे विदा लेना तथा कुन्तीका विलाप एवं नगरके नर-नारियोंका शोकातुर होना वैशमग्पायन उवाच तस्मिन् सम्प्रस्थिते कृष्णा पृथां प्राप्प यशस्विनीम् । अपृच्छद् भृशदु:खार्ता याश्षान्यास्तत्र योषित:
Vaiśaṃpāyana uvāca: tasmin samprasthite kṛṣṇā pṛthāṃ prāpya yaśasvinīm | apṛcchad bhṛśa-duḥkhārtā yāś cānyās tatra yoṣitaḥ ||
Waiśaṃpāyana berkata: Setelah ia berangkat, Kṛṣṇā (Draupadī) yang termasyhur, diliputi duka yang amat dalam, mendatangi Pṛthā (Kuntī). Ia mengajukan pertanyaan; demikian pula para perempuan lain yang hadir di sana, semuanya terpukul oleh kesedihan.
वैशमग्पायन उवाच
