भीमसेन उवाच नृशंस परुषं॑ वक्तुं शक्‍्यं दुःशासन त्वया । निकृत्या हि धनं लब्ध्वा को विकत्थितुमहति,भीमसेन बोले--ओ नृशंस दुःशासन! तेरे ही मुखसे ऐसी कठोर बातें निकल सकती हैं, तेरे सिवा दूसरा कौन है, जो छल-कपटसे धन पाकर इस तरह आप ही अपनी प्रशंसा करेगा

bhīmasena uvāca

nṛśaṃsa paruṣaṃ vaktuṃ śakyaṃ duḥśāsana tvayā |

nikṛtyā hi dhanaṃ labdhvā ko vikatthitum arhati ||

Bhīmasena berkata: “Wahai Duḥśāsana yang kejam, hanya engkau yang sanggup mengucapkan kata-kata setajam dan setidakberperikemanusiaan itu. Setelah memperoleh harta lewat tipu daya, siapa yang pantas menyombongkan diri dan memuji dirinya sendiri?”
