विदितं मे महाप्राज्ञ भोजेष्वेवासमठ्जसम्‌ । पुत्रं संत्यक्तवान्‌ पूर्व पौराणां हितकाम्यया,महाप्राज्ञ! मुझे मालूम है कि भोजवंशके एक नरेशने पूर्वकालमें पुरवासियोंके हितकी इच्छासे अपने कुमार्गगामी पुत्रका परित्याग कर दिया था

viditaṁ me mahāprājña bhojeṣv evāsam aṭjasam | putraṁ saṁtyaktavān pūrvaṁ paurāṇāṁ hitakāmyayā ||

Wahai yang amat bijaksana, aku mengetahui bahwa di antara kaum Bhoja pada masa lampau ada seorang raja yang, demi kesejahteraan rakyat kota, pernah menanggalkan putranya sendiri yang menempuh jalan adharma.
