Educational Q&A

Before disputes or moral tests arise, dharma in a royal court begins with restraint and proper conduct: acknowledging hierarchy, honoring those worthy of respect, and maintaining decorum in public assemblies.

Vaiśampāyana narrates the Pāṇḍavas’ arrival in the assembly hall. Led by Yudhiṣṭhira, they greet the gathered kings and formally honor the respected elders and rulers, setting the stage for the ensuing events and dialogue.
