Adhyāya 39: Śiśupāla’s Censure and Bhīma’s Contained Wrath

True wisdom in rulers is shown by recognizing and endorsing rightful honor: reverence should be offered to the genuinely venerable—here, Śrī Kṛṣṇa—who embodies the roles of teacher, fatherly protector, and spiritual guide, and is therefore supremely fit to receive arghya and worship.
In the royal assembly context, worship and the arghya-offering have been rendered to Śrī Kṛṣṇa. The speaker frames this act as proper and invites the assembled kings—especially the discerning ones—to approve it wholeheartedly, reinforcing the legitimacy of honoring Kṛṣṇa as the foremost guest and authority.
