Śiśupāla-vākya: Bhīṣma-nindā and the ‘Haṃsa’ Exemplum (शिशुपालवाक्यम् — भीष्मनिन्दा, हंसदृष्टान्तः)

कृष्ण एव हि लोकानामुत्पत्तिरपि चाप्यय: । कृष्णस्य हि कृते विश्वमिदं भूतं चराचरम्‌,भगवान्‌ श्रीकृष्ण ही सम्पूर्ण जगत्‌की उत्पत्ति और प्रलयके स्थान हैं। यह सारा चराचर विश्व इन्हींके लिये प्रकट हुआ है

kṛṣṇa eva hi lokānām utpattir api cāpyayaḥ | kṛṣṇasya hi kṛte viśvam idaṃ bhūtaṃ carācaram ||

Kṛṣṇa sajalah asal mula segala dunia dan juga tempat segala sesuatu kembali lenyap. Seluruh jagat—yang bergerak maupun tak bergerak—menampakkan diri demi Kṛṣṇa semata.
