Vaiśravaṇa-sabhā-varṇanam
Description of Kubera’s Assembly Hall
सदा भगवती लक्ष्मीस्तत्रैव नलकूबर: । अहं च बहुशस्तस्यां भवन्त्यन्ये च मद्विधा:
sadā bhagavatī lakṣmīs tatraiva nalakūbaraḥ | ahaṃ ca bahuśas tasyāṃ bhavanty anye ca madvidhāḥ ||
Nārada berkata: “Di balairung itu juga, Dewi Lakṣmī yang mulia senantiasa hadir; demikian pula Nalakūbara. Aku sendiri pun berulang kali datang ke sana, dan banyak yang lain sepertiku juga menampakkan diri di sana.”
नारद उवाच
Prosperity and grandeur are portrayed as enduring when aligned with auspicious divine presence (Lakṣmī) and the attendance of elevated beings; splendor is not only wealth but also sanctified order and merit.
Nārada describes the extraordinary nature of the sabhā by stating that Lakṣmī is constantly there, along with Nalakūbara, and that he himself and many similar celestial visitors frequently appear in that hall.
