Vasudeva–Arjuna Dialogue in the Aftermath of Dvārakā
नियति तु जने तस्मिन् सागरो मकरालय: । द्वारकां रत्नसम्पूर्णा जलेनाप्लावयत् तदा,उस जनसमुदायके निकलते ही मगरों और घड़ियालोंके निवासस्थान समुद्रने रत्नोंसे भरी-पूरी द्वारका नगरीको जलसे डुबो दिया
niyati tu jane tasmin sāgaro makarālayaḥ | dvārakāṃ ratnasampūrṇāṃ jalena aplāvayat tadā ||
Begitu rombongan itu berangkat—oleh kuasa takdir—samudra, tempat bersemayamnya makara, pun menenggelamkan Dvārakā yang penuh permata dengan airnya.
