ते भिन्नदेहा व्यसवो निपेतु: कर्णेषुभिर्भूमितले स्वनन्त: । क्रुद्धेन सिंहेन यथेभयूथा महावने भीमबलेन तद्वत्
te bhinnadehā vyasavo nipetuḥ karṇeṣubhir bhūmitalē svanantaḥ | kruddhena siṁhena yathebhayūthā mahāvane bhīmabalenā tadvāt ||
Sañjaya berkata: Tubuh mereka hancur tercerai oleh panah Karṇa; napas hidup lenyap, mereka roboh ke tanah, dan perhiasan telinga mereka berdenting saat menghantam bumi—laksana kawanan gajah di rimba luas yang dijatuhkan oleh singa murka berkekuatan dahsyat.
