देवब्रह्मनृपर्षीणां गणा: पाण्डवतो5भवन्,राजन! देवर्षि, ब्रह्मर्षि तथा राजर्षियोंके समुदाय पाण्डुपुत्र अर्जुनके पक्षमें थे। तुम्बुरु आदि गन्धर्व, प्राधा और मुनिसे उत्पन्न हुए गन्धर्व एवं अप्सराओंके समुदाय भी अर्जुनकी ही ओर थे
devabrahmanṛparṣīṇāṁ gaṇāḥ pāṇḍavato 'bhavan, rājan; devarṣi-brahmarṣi-tathā rājarṣīṇāṁ samudāyaḥ pāṇḍuputra-arjunasya pakṣe 'bhavat. tumburu-ādi gandharvāḥ, prādhāyāḥ (prādhāyāṁ) munitaś ca utpannā gandharvāḥ, apsarasāṁ samudāyaś ca arjunasyaiva ore 'bhavat.
Sañjaya berkata: “Wahai Raja, rombongan para dewa, brahmana, raja, dan resi berdiri di pihak Pāṇḍava. Perkumpulan para resi ilahi, resi brahma, dan resi raja memihak putra Pāṇḍu, Arjuna. Tumburu dan para Gandharva lainnya, Gandharva yang lahir dari Prādhā dan sang muni, serta himpunan para Apsaras pun berpihak kepada Arjuna.”
संजय उवाच
The verse frames the battle’s moral axis: the alignment of gods, sages, and celestial beings with Arjuna signals perceived dharmic legitimacy. It suggests that righteous conduct and rightful cause attract cosmic support, while adharma stands increasingly isolated.
Sañjaya reports to Dhṛtarāṣṭra that various exalted beings—gods, brahmins, kings, seers, Gandharvas (including Tumburu), and Apsarases—are gathered in support of the Pāṇḍavas, specifically favoring Arjuna’s side in the ongoing war.
