महाराज! पार्थका आना सुनते ही प्रतापी भीमसेन प्राणोंका मोह छोड़कर आपकी सेनाका मर्दन करने लगे ।। स वायुवीर्यप्रतिमो वायुवेगसमो जवे । वायुवद्‌ व्यचरद्‌ भीमो वायुपुत्र: प्रतापवान्‌,प्रतापी वायुपुत्र भीमसेन वायुके समान वेगशाली थे। बल और पराक्रममें भी वायुकी ही समानता रखते थे। वे उस रणभूमिमें वायुके समान विचरण करने लगे

Transliteration

sa vāyuvīryapratimo vāyuvegamo jave | vāyuvad vyacarad bhīmo vāyuputraḥ pratāpavān ||

Translation

Wahai Raja, begitu mendengar kabar kedatangan Pārtha, Bhīmasena yang perkasa menanggalkan keterikatan pada nyawanya dan menindas pasukanmu. Putra Vāyu itu setara dengan Angin dalam kekuatan dan secepat Angin dalam gerak; di medan laga ia melintas bagaikan Angin sendiri.
