Educational Q&A

The verse highlights the ethic of disciplined readiness: in a dharmic war context, a warrior’s external preparation (armor, insignia) mirrors inner resolve to fulfill one’s role with steadiness and honor.

Sañjaya reports a declaration of entering battle fully equipped—wearing golden armor and fastening jeweled earrings—signaling imminent combat and the speaker’s determination to face the day’s fighting.
