प्राहसत् स तु दुष्टात्मा कर्ण: स च सुयोधन: । “उस वीरके इस तरह मारे जानेपर प्रायः सभीको बड़ा दुःख हुआ। केवल दुष्टात्मा कर्ण और दुर्योधन ही जोर-जोरसे हँसे थे

prāhasat sa tu duṣṭātmā karṇaḥ sa ca suyodhanaḥ |
Sañjaya berkata: Ketika sang pahlawan gugur, hampir semua orang diliputi duka; hanya Karṇa yang berhati jahat dan Suyodhana saja yang tertawa terbahak-bahak.
