अद्य त्वामनुपश्यामि कर्ण हत्वा महीपते | सभाजयितुमाक्रन्दादिति सत्यं ब्रवीमि ते,भूपाल! आज मैं कर्णको मारकर ही आपका दर्शन करूँगा और युद्धस्थलसे आपका अभिनन्दन करनेके लिये आऊँगा। यह मैं आपसे सत्य कहता हूँ

Transliteration

adya tvām anupaśyāmi karṇa hatvā mahīpate | sabhājayitum ākrandād iti satyaṁ bravīmi te ||

Translation

Wahai raja, hari ini aku akan menghadapmu hanya setelah menewaskan Karṇa. Lalu, dari hiruk-pikuk medan perang, aku akan datang untuk memberi hormat kepadamu. Ini kukatakan kepadamu dengan sebenar-benarnya.
