Arjuna Breaks the Encirclement; Bhīma Reinforces

The verse highlights how martial prowess in war is often expressed through terrifying imagery—arrows compared to venomous serpents—reminding the listener that battlefield excellence can coexist with destructive, fear-inducing force. It implicitly invites ethical reflection on the cost of victory pursued through violence.
Sañjaya reports to Dhṛtarāṣṭra that a warrior on the battlefield is vigorously brandishing a great bow and showering the enemy with arrows likened to poisonous snakes, emphasizing the intensity and danger of the ongoing combat.
