Dharma-rahasya Instruction: Vows, Truth, and Non-injury
आजयचघान सुसंक्रुद्धों नाराचेन स्तनान्तरे । पुनश्चैनममेयात्मा शरवर्षरवाकिरत्,राजेन्द्र! पाण्डुपुत्र भीमसेनने दो ही घड़ीमें कर्णपर आक्रमण कर दिया। उन्हें अपनी ओर आते देख अत्यन्त क्रोधमें भरे हुए धर्मात्मा वैकर्तन कर्णने एक नाराचद्वारा उनकी छातीमें प्रहार किया। फिर अमेय आत्मबलसे सम्पन्न उस वीरने उन्हें अपने बाणोंकी वर्षासे ढक दिया

Sanjaya berkata: Di tengah pertempuran, Karna—Vikartana—yang menyala oleh amarah dahsyat, menghantam Bhimasena di dada dengan sebuah nārāca. Lalu, wahai raja, sang kesatria berdaya tak terukur itu menutupi lawannya dengan hujan anak panah yang rapat.
