कर्णेन युधिष्ठिरानीकविदारणम् / Karṇa’s Breach of Yudhiṣṭhira’s Battle-Line
आराधयिततवान् शर्व बहून् वर्षगणांस्तदा । दुर्योधन कहता हैं--तदनन्तर परशुरामने बहुत वर्षोतक तपस्या, इन्द्रिय-संयम, मनोनिग्रह, पूजा, उपहार, भेंट, अर्पण, होम और मन्त्र-जप आदि साथनोंद्वारा भगवान् शिवकी आराधना की
ārādhayitavān śarvaṁ bahūn varṣa-gaṇāṁs tadā |
Duryodhana berkata: “Pada waktu itu ia memuja Śarva (Śiva) selama bertahun-tahun.” Dengan tapa, pengendalian indria, pengekangan batin, pemujaan, persembahan, homa, dan japa mantra, ia menyanjung Śiva—melalui disiplin dan bhakti yang panjang.
