Karṇa’s Breach of Yudhiṣṭhira’s Battle-Line

Educational Q&A

The verse highlights that when forces aligned with dharma act in unity toward a righteous aim, their success becomes a cause of collective uplift and joy; harmony of purpose is portrayed as a power that overcomes even formidable, entrenched opposition.

Bhīṣma describes a moment of divine celebration: the gods rejoice intensely when ‘the three’ unite and assume the power likened to Tripura’s consuming fire—an allusion to the mythic destruction of Tripura, emphasizing decisive, unified action leading to victory.
