Karṇa’s advance against the Pāṇḍava host; Arjuna’s clash with the Saṃśaptakas (कर्णस्य पाण्डवसेनाप्रवेशः—अर्जुनस्य संशप्तकसंप्रहारः)

अवध्यत्वं च ते राजन्‌ सर्वभूतस्य सर्वदा । सहिता वरयामासु: सर्वलोकपितामहम्‌

avadhyatvaṃ ca te rājan sarvabhūtasya sarvadā | sahitā varayāmāsuḥ sarvalokapitāmaham, nibodha manasā cātra na te kāryā vicāraṇā |

Duryodhana berkata: “Wahai Raja, ‘Engkau pun hendaklah senantiasa tak dapat dibunuh oleh makhluk mana pun’—demikianlah, bersatu, mereka memohon anugerah itu kepada Kakek Agung segala dunia (Brahmā). Pahamilah dengan pikiran yang teguh; jangan menyimpan keraguan tentangnya.”
