Karṇa’s advance against the Pāṇḍava host; Arjuna’s clash with the Saṃśaptakas (कर्णस्य पाण्डवसेनाप्रवेशः—अर्जुनस्य संशप्तकसंप्रहारः)
पुरत्रयविसृष्ट्यर्थ मयं वच्रुर्महासुरम् । विश्वकर्माणमजरं दैत्यदानवपूजितम्
puratrayavisṛṣṭyarthaṁ mayaṁ vavruḥ mahāsuram | viśvakarmāṇam ajaraṁ daityadānavapūjitam || nibodha manasā cātra na te kāryā vicāraṇā ||
Duryodhana berkata: “Untuk membangun tiga kota itu, mereka memilih Maya, Asura yang perkasa—yang dipuja di kalangan Daitya dan Dānava, Viśvakarman yang tak menua. Dengarkan dengan batin yang teguh; jangan ragu tentang hal ini.”
