The Crow-and-Swan Exemplum as Counsel to Karṇa
एवं तदभवद् युद्ध त्वदीयानां परै: सह । अपराह्नले महाराज काडृक्षतां विजयं युधि,महाराज! इस प्रकार अपराह्नके समय रणक्षेत्रमें विजय चाहनेवाले आपके योद्धाओंका शत्रुओंके साथ भीषण युद्ध होने लगा

evaṃ tad abhavad yuddhaṃ tvadīyānāṃ paraiḥ saha |
aparāhṇe le mahārāja kāṅkṣatāṃ vijayaṃ yudhi ||
Sañjaya berkata: Wahai Maharaja, demikianlah pada sore menjelang senja, di medan laga bangkit pertempuran dahsyat antara para prajuritmu dan musuh-musuh mereka, ketika pasukanmu—mendambakan kemenangan—terus mendesak maju.
