अध्याय २६ — शल्यस्य सारथ्य-नियोजनं, कर्णस्य प्रस्थानं, उत्पातदर्शनं च
Chapter 26: Śalya appointed as charioteer; Karṇa’s departure; portents
वासुदेवं विभिन्नाड़ं दृष्टवा पार्थो धनंजय: । क्रोधमाहारयत्तीव्रं कृष्णं चेदमुवाच ह,श्रीकृष्णके शरीरमें घाव देखकर कुन्तीकुमार अर्जुन-को बड़ा क्रोध हुआ। वे उनसे इस प्रकार बोले--
sañjaya uvāca | vāsudevaṁ vibhinnāṅgaṁ dṛṣṭvā pārtho dhanañjayaḥ | krodham āhārayat tīvraṁ kṛṣṇaṁ cedam uvāca ha ||
Sanjaya berkata: Melihat Vasudeva (Kresna) dengan tubuh terluka, Partha—Dhananjaya (Arjuna)—diliputi amarah yang menyala-nyala. Lalu ia berkata kepada Kresna demikian.
संजय उवाच
The verse highlights how devotion and reverence can manifest as protective, righteous anger when one witnesses harm to a revered guide. It also frames the ethical tension of war: even in sanctioned battle, injury to the noble can provoke a moral and emotional reckoning that shapes subsequent action.
Sanjaya reports that Arjuna notices wounds on Krishna’s body. Shocked and enraged, Arjuna turns to Krishna and begins to speak, setting up the next lines where Arjuna’s reaction and intent are expressed.
