Droṇa-parva Adhyāya 94: Sātyaki–Sudarśana Yuddha (सात्यकि–सुदर्शन युद्ध)

Educational Q&A

The verse highlights how violence and panic in war can eclipse discernment: when minds are overwhelmed by fear and injury, clarity and moral judgment collapse. It implicitly warns that the conditions of battle breed confusion and suffering, not steady insight.

Sañjaya reports that soldiers, pained by volleys of arrows, are scattering in every direction. The fighting has become so uproarious and dreadful that no one can properly perceive what is happening around them.
